Frequently Asked Questions

What age do I have to be to participate?
Senior Games serves people 55 years of age and better as participants, but anyone over 16 may volunteer.  While the age at which someone becomes a “senior” varies, 55 was the age established when NCSG was founded in 1983 because of our affiliation with the NC Division of Aging and Parks and Recreation organizations.

How can I become a participant?
Contact the local game in your area to register each spring.  Individuals who participate in local games may qualify for State Finals, which is held in the fall.  Details on qualifying can be found in the NCSG Rules Book for sports and the SilverArts Booklet for the arts.

Is there a local game in my area?
All 53 Local Games are listed on the Local Games page of the NCSG website.
