As the Local Coordinator, your attendance is required at one of these LCA Meetings:
Asheville -  January 20, 9:30 – 1:00
Cary – February 2, 12:00 – 3:00 

Note: Only Local Games Coordinators and Co-Coordinators are invited.   These meetings are not designed for Ambassadors, SilverArts Coordinators, Event Directors, other staff, or participants.

  • Distributing State Finals Entry Forms and Final Results process
  • New/Revised Publications for next year (review changes)
  • National Games information
  • Pick up NCSG Info Fliers and items ordered


You should: 
     1) Have reviewed the Local Coordinators and State Finals sections of the PPA.

     2) Bring copies to share/swap/display of your Local Games: 
           Entry Forms            Official Programs       Sponsor Packet
           Volunteer forms      T-shirts                      Newsletters
           Medals                   Press clippings           Brochures 

     3) Bring your tabletop exhibit/display. 
               Note: Plan to arrive 10 minutes early to set up your exhibit, please.

Local Coordinators Association Meeting Details by Location

ASHEVILLE LCA MEETING, JANUARY 20

            Where:  Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College, Ferguson Auditorium, Asheville

            When:  Registration opens: 9:15 a.m.     Meeting:  9:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. 

Lunch/Food: You are welcome to bring your own snacks and/or lunch or plan to eat a late lunch.

Directions: From I-40 East/Westbound:  Take Exit #50, which is the Biltmore Estate Exit.  Turn left (Eastbound) or right (Westbound) onto Highway 25 North towards downtown Asheville (this is Biltmore Avenue).  Stay in far right lane.  The road will split, stay in the far right lane onto 81 East.  Cross railroad tracks.  After railroad tracks, go to next traffic light & turn left onto Meadow Road (there will be a Mexican restaurant called La Carreta on the corner).  Travel less than one mile to traffic light & turn right onto Victoria Road.  Go up hill on Victoria, see parking lot on the right, labeled Simpson Lecture Parking Lot; park in this lot or lots A2-A5.  Walk across street at cross walk, up steps past Simpson Building, the next building above Simpson is Laurel / Ferguson Auditorium is where the Coordinators Meeting will be held. There will be signage posted  from Victoria Road for directions. Printout a map from the PPA "Asheville LCA Meeting Map."

Lodging Suggestions: Hotels in the Biltmore Village area are close to A-B Tech.

CARY LCA MEETING, FEBRUARY 2

        Where:  Bond Park Community Center, 150 Metro Park Drive (in Bond Park), Cary NC

        When: Registration opens: 11:30a.m.   Meeting:    12:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
