Each Spring thousands of participants qualify for one of our 54 Local Senior Games in NC to compete at State Finals held every Fall.  For 17 days in 4 cities, athletes and artists "celebrate the human spirit"!  You will be inspired, motivated and appreciated as a volunteer with Senior Games.  Over 900 volunteers are needed for 68 different activities.  There are opportunities for teams, families, and colleagues to volunteer together or for you to help us individually.  Choose your favorite activities or learn a new activity by volunteering for it!

Note: If you will be a participant, you may also be a volunteer in your activity.  We will simply put you in a position that helps other age/sex groups (i.e. not your competition).

“I wish there were 5,6,7 or 8 of me because I would volunteer for everything!  I had the best time.  I was so inspired by the level of energy the seniors have.  I hope and pray that I make it to their ages and have the health and looks and strength they do.  It was a wonderful experience and I’m so, so glad that they are willing to share it with us.” Tonya Bazemore, State Finals Volunteer

“ I look forward to working at the State Finals again.  I had the most fun that day!  It was inspiring to see the seniors play and compete all day…even in the rain they never complained!  It was also fun to have dinner with them and see their enthusiasm and that “still going” spirit.  I don’t think that I have ever participated in anything I have ever enjoyed more.  Thanks for all the good work your organization does and for letting me be a small part of it."
