Step 1:

Get involved in your Local Games!

Each spring, 54 Local Games all across the state host athletic and arts events. Find a Local Games in your area and contact your Local Coordinator for more information here!

Step 2:

Qualified at your Local Games? Join us at State Finals!

Individuals who participate in local games may qualify for State Finals, which is held in the fall.  Details on qualifying can be found in the NCSG Rules Book for Sports and the SilverArts Booklet for the Arts.

Step 3:

National Senior Games

Participants who qualify in most sports can move on to the National Senior Games, which are hosted every other year. Click here for more info on the upcoming National Senior Games and what sports are offered.

 

 

Frequently Asked Questions

Can professionals participate in SilverArts/Senior Games?

Yes, Senior Games is for residents of NC who are 50 years of age and better.

Can I compete in Local Games that are out of my geographic area?

Yes.  Many of the Local Games Programs in NC are "open".  Games that are "open" accept participants from other areas of the state.  Details on each Local Game can be found on the Local Games page of our website.  

Can I participate if I do not live in North Carolina?

No, only individuals who are residents of North Carolina for a minimum of 3 consecutive months of the year may participate in Senior Games.
