SILVERARTS FOLLIES

Schedule: A required Technical Workshop is tentatively scheduled for Friday, Sept. 24 at 3:00 pm . The Show is tentatively scheduled for Friday, Sept. 24 at 7:00 pm. Final times and the order of the Show will be in the Final Schedule.
Eligibility: Must be the act chosen as the representative for your Local Games. Each member of the act must submit an individual State Finals registration by August 1. Each non-solo act must have a Group Leader who is a participant and should have email. Each group leader/solo act must submit a SilverArts Information Form and music with her/his registration by August 1. Separate Information Form not required for online registrations.
Awards: 1st, 2nd & 3rd place for solo, small group, & large group in each Performing Arts sub-category will be presented at intermission and the conclusion of the Show.
Safety Measures: If required for safety, activities will be offered virtually. All in-person activities offered will follow the NCDHHS guidelines in place at the time of the event including but not limited to crowd size, social distancing, and masks. Spectators may not be allowed.
We recognize performing artists prefer to perform in person for judges in the same environment as their competitors and want to provide that opportunity, as long as it’s safe to do so, whether spectators are permitted or not.
Cheerleader Showcase

Schedule: Tentatively scheduled for Friday, Sept. 24, at 1:00 pm. Check-in will be 11:30 pm-12:00 pm.
Eligibility: Must be the squad chosen as the representative for your Local Games. Each member of the squad must submit an individual State Finals Entry Form by August 1. Each squad must have a Head Cheerleader who is a participant & should have email. Head Cheerleaders must submit a SilverArts Information Form and music with her/his registration. Separate Information Form not required for online registrations.
Awards: 1st, 2nd & 3rd place for small, medium & large groups will be presented immediately following the Show.

Heritage, Visual, and Literary Arts
The Virtual Showcases were so successful in 2020, they will be virtual again in 2021. This provides maximum stability for the show regardless of COVID-19 impacts on crowd sizes. Awards will be presented as part of the Virtual Celebration of the Games for all participants to bring an even larger audience to the Virtual Showcase Gallery than would be possible in person. The 2020 SilverArts Gallery is still available to view here.
Heritage & Visual Arts
Eligibility: 1st , 2nd or 3rd place in the sub-category in a Local Games qualify. A photo of the entry and the SilverArts Information Form must be submitted with Registration. Separate Information Form not required for online registrations.
Limit: 1 entry per sub-category.
Details: The Heritage and Visual Arts competition will be judged by photos of the entries. SilverArtists will register via Torch 1.0 or paper Entry Form and a SilverArts Information Form.
For online registration in Torch 1.0, one photo is required when registering. Additional photos may be submitted via the Showcase Photos Submission Google Form if you have a Gmail account. If you do not have a Gmail account and wish to submit your photos online send them via email to ncsg@ncseniorgames.org. For paper registrations, photos should be included with the Entry Form and Information Forms. All photos must be received by August 1. One photo of each entry will be included in the online SilverArts Showcase Gallery.
Schedule: Winners will be announced at the Virtual Celebration of the Games, Thursday, September 23, 5:00 pm. Medals will then be mailed to winners.
Fee: $5 per submission
Literary Arts
Eligibility: 1st or 2nd place in the sub-category in a Local Games qualify. An original and two copies of the entry and the SilverArts Information Form must be submitted with Registration. Online registrations require a PDF attachment.
Limit: 1 entry per sub-category.
Details: Entry will be included in the online SilverArts Showcase Gallery.
Schedule: Winners will be announced at the Virtual Celebration of the Games, Thursday, September 23, 5:00 pm. Medals will then be mailed to winners.
Fee: $5 per entry
